JOB TITLE: RF Electronics Technician

Summary: 

• Set up test apparatus and perform testing of electronic circuit card assemblies, RF circuits, and subassemblies

• Conduct tests in accordance with established methods, procedures, standards, and sequences

• Assemble and lay out production electronic equipment per engineering designs and specifications

• Adjust and calibrate electronic test systems as required

• Troubleshoot malfunctions to the component level by adjusting or replacing parts as directed

• Utilize schematic diagrams to isolate failures in analog and digital circuitry

• Apply strong knowledge of solid-state devices and micro-circuitry

• Determine appropriate test methods and recommend modifications to test equipment

• Analyze test results to evaluate product and equipment performance

• Assist engineers with development and improvement of test procedures for new products

• Recommend product or manufacturing process improvements

• Support quality verification activities using statistical process control or other quality methods

• Work effectively in a fast-paced production environment to meet customer schedules

• Use hand tools, small power tools, and electronic test equipment

• Operate measurement devices including:

  • Digital multimeters

  • Oscilloscopes

  • Network analyzers

  • Frequency standards

  • Signal generators

  • RF power meters

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with technical training equivalent to a Technical Associate degree or demonstrated para-engineering experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience testing electronic assemblies, including component-level troubleshooting of solid-state, digital, and RF circuits

• Proficient in electronics testing, diagnostics, and circuit card troubleshooting

• Experience with flying probe and high-power testing; extensive RF testing 

• Familiarity with radar systems

• Strong electrical troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic data collection systems

• Basic computer skills required

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR)
