JOB TITLE: Inspector - Machined Parts
LOCATION: 
Columbia, MO
PAY RATE: $20-25/hour

Summary: 

Join a leading firm specializing in high-performance custom thermal management solutions, including advanced heat sinks and heat spreaders utilizing Oscillating Heat Pipe (OHP) technology for terrestrial and aerospace applications. The AS9100D/ISO9001-certified facility is located in Columbia, Missouri.

Position Overview:

  • Ensure the delivery of top-tier thermal management products.

  • Report to the QA Director, this role involves diverse projects requiring independent judgment, flexibility, and collaboration.

  • Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in fast-paced environments.

  • Conduct final inspections before shipment.

  • Perform first article, in-process, and receiving inspections with detailed reporting.

  • Review Certificates of Conformance for accuracy and compliance.

  • Manage project documentation and provide status updates.

  • Communicate effectively across departments to ensure smooth workflow.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Support document control, calibration database maintenance, and internal audits.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to pass a background check.

  • Understanding of engineering prints, tolerances, and GD&T.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Experience with inspection equipment (CMM, VMM, thread gauges, Mitutoyo digital height scale, calipers, pin gauges, profilometers).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel with adaptability to new software.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • U.S. Citizenship required.

  • Flexible and adaptable mindset.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Prior experience in manufacturing (machined aluminum parts inspection is a plus).

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
