JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Engineer
LOCATION: Grand Prairie, TX (
Telework < 50%)
PAY RATE: $71.92/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Manage supplier quality activities, including nonconforming material control and corrective action effectiveness

  • Translate engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements into supplier quality systems

  • Develop, maintain, and improve quality evaluation and control systems

  • Perform source inspections, supplier audits, and third-party manufacturer audits (including sub-tier suppliers)

  • Conduct due diligence and support vendor selection and capability approval

  • Ensure corrective actions meet reliability and compliance standards

  • Prepare and maintain procurement quality assurance procedures

  • Perform First Article Inspections (AS9102)

  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action using tools such as 8D, 5-Why, FMEA, Control Plans, and Fault Tree

  • Monitor supplier approvals and certification expirations

  • Review and approve or reject new supplier capability requests and accreditation certifications

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management, Subcontracting, Finance, and Customers

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a clearance required

  • Active Secret clearance preferred, not required to start

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience

  • Experience developing and reviewing quality requirements, procedures, and control plans

  • Experience performing Design and Process FMEA (D/PFMEA)

  • Strong understanding of process, product, and compliance audits

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards

  • Knowledge of inspection methods for electronic circuit cards and electro-mechanical assemblies

  • Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) processes

  • Experience leading cross-functional root cause and corrective action efforts

  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management Systems

  • Experience performing AS9102 First Article Inspections

  • Supplier quality assurance/control experience

  • Experience working with U.S. Department of Defense customers

  • Strong project management and multitasking skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in hybrid work environments

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Project, and Visio

  • Understanding of special processes and supplier interface management

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
