Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Fabricates detailed components and sub-assemblies for aircraft interiors.

  • Assembles complex structures using sub-assemblies.

  • Operates various fabrication machines and equipment.

  • Trims and finishes panels and cabinets using aluminum trims, dec-lam, leather, and vinyl.

  • Interprets complex blueprints and process specifications for assembly.

  • Applies dec-lam, leather, rubber trim, and aluminum trims to components.

  • Performs edge potting, potting inserts, riveting, and general assembly with hand tools.

  • Works with aluminum and Nomex materials for fabrication.

  • Assembles multiple components per engineering drawings.

  • Performs skilled tasks including trim, finish, and value-added operations on detailed components.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Minimum of two years relevant experience in an aerospace production environment.

  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents to specification.

  • Ability to assemble multiple components per drawing.

  • Ability to operate air tools, perform edge potting, potting inserts, riveting, and general assembly.

  • Skills in applying dec-lam, leather, rubber trim, and aluminum trims.

  • Knowledge working with aluminum and Nomex materials.

  • Ability to perform trimming, finishing, and fabrication tasks with hand tools.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs without assistance and up to 100 lbs with assistance.

  • Preferred: Vocational or technical schooling and knowledge of aerospace record keeping and quality standards.
