JOB TITLE: Product Review Engineer 5
LOCATION: North Charleston, SC
PAY RATE: $122.50/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Analyzes, conducts root cause analysis, and develops dispositions for design non-conformances.

  • Evaluates and analyzes airplane production discrepancies including electrical, functional test, chemical and thermal processes, raw materials, parts, assemblies, and airplane installations.

  • Resolves parts or design repairs and rework on components, assemblies incorrectly designed, built, installed, or damaged.

  • Represents engineering on the Material Review Board (MRB) responding to questions and concerns from manufacturing and engineering organizations.

  • Evaluates engineering and production data to determine corrective actions for elimination and prevention of chronic errors.

  • Reviews and approves design revisions to enable improvement in production processes.

  • Works across all functions to ensure corrective action is implemented and design engineering concurrence is maintained.

  • Reviews and audits MRB activities for domestic and foreign suppliers.

  • Addresses nonconforming parts and systems including metal and composite structures, interiors, payloads, electrical systems, functional testing, aerodynamics, fatigue, static strength, propulsion, and safety.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • ABET accredited engineering degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering.

  • Current or previous Materials Review Board (MRB) certification.

  • Experience analyzing, conducting root cause analysis, and developing dispositions for design non-conformances.

  • Experience evaluating production discrepancies including electrical, functional test, chemical and thermal processes, raw materials, parts, assemblies, and airplane installations.

  • Experience representing engineering on MRB and interacting with manufacturing and engineering organizations.

  • Experience reviewing and approving design revisions to improve production processes.

  • Experience evaluating engineering and production data for corrective actions.

  • Experience reviewing and auditing supplier MRB activities.

  • Willingness to work variable shifts, weekends, overtime, and rotating shifts.
