We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Read and interpret Completions customer specifications and engineering drawings to determine proper color, font, dimensions, and materials for aircraft placards, identification plates, spray masks, and wire stamping.

  • Use Adobe Illustrator, PDF files, and Gerber Omega software to accurately draw, layout, and produce aircraft placards. Additional software or machine operating systems may be required as equipment needs evolve.

  • Operate sign-cutting equipment to produce masking per Exterior Markings Drawings for Gulfstream aircraft paint applications.

  • Produce placards that require foreign languages to meet international aircraft registration requirements.

  • Maintain proper documentation of all work, including traceability of materials used, to ensure compliance with inspection and FAA requirements.

  • Use precision tools to verify fabricated placards and identification plates meet all engineering requirements, including installation if required.

  • Perform daily maintenance on equipment.

  • Comply with all standard operating procedures, safety, and housekeeping policies.

  • Adapt to sudden changes in schedule and priorities.

  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance safety and reduce costs using Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies.

  • Monitor and maintain department materials inventory.

  • Monitor aircraft schedules to support material requirements.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum 1 year of computer experience; graphic design experience preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications related to placards, ID plates, spray masks, and wire stamping.

  • Working knowledge of the Policies and Procedures Manual, Inspection Procedures Manual, and relevant Process Specifications.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
