Job Description

JOB TITLE: Orbital Tube Welders & Installers
LOCATION: 
Kennedy Space Center, FL
PAY RATE: $30-42/hour

Job Details:

  • Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Seeking 2 Orbital Tube Welders and 4 Tube Installers to support high-precision aerospace assembly and fabrication work.

  • Perform mechanical assembly, welding, tube installation, and related fabrication tasks according to engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Set up and perform machining, welding, and tube fabrication tasks

  • Assemble mechanical, electro-mechanical, and avionics systems

  • Perform composite lay-up and structural assembly

  • Conduct wire harness installation and soldering

  • Prepare components for testing, perform chemical conversion, and apply coatings

  • Support clean-up and administrative duties as needed

Orbital Tube Welders (2 roles):

  • Certified in orbital tube welding (required)

  • Tube installation experience (preferred)

Tube Installers (4 roles):

  • Tube installation experience (required)

General Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Typically 4+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Must be able to obtain manufacturing certifications and pass any required physical examinations

  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
