Job Description

JOB TITLE: Ops Trainee
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $19.28/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Perform fitting of parts, basic drilling, and riveting using hand and pneumatic tools (rivet guns, drills, reamers, files, etc.)

  • Ensure parts and work meet instructions and Quality Control standards

  • Learn to read work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine sequence of operations

  • Align and assemble parts using fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners

  • Observe and assist with assemblies, gradually working with decreasing supervision

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Strong mechanical aptitude; enrollment in a Technical Aviation program preferred

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

  • Basic computer and keyboard skills

  • Must be able to lift and transport up to 40 lbs

  • Must be available to work any shift

  • Basic shop math and ability to read scales

  • Attention to detail, professional attitude, and strong teamwork skills

  • Demonstrate good housekeeping and safety practices

  • Proficiency in personal computer software

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
