Summary:
Develop NC programs from engineering drawings, solid models, and sketches using UG NX CAD/CAM software
Create, revise, and maintain Machine Control Data (MCD) and machining geometry
Provide machine operator instructions and documentation for CNC and numerically controlled equipment
Support research and data collection for cross-functional manufacturing teams
Assist in establishing technical manufacturing requirements, producibility planning, and process optimization
Support integration of new machining methods, software, and manufacturing equipment
Verify NC programs using Vericut verification software
Coordinate with shop personnel to ensure required tooling is available
Work under general supervision while contributing to team objectives
Requirements:
Typically 3+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of experience, or 5+ years of professional experience)
5+ years of current NC programming experience using UG NX software
Experience with Vericut software
Previous machinist or machining production experience
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Skills:
10+ years of NC programming experience using UG NX
5+ years of Vericut experience
Multi-year machinist or manufacturing shop experience
