JOB TITLE: Numerical Control (N/C) Programmer
LOCATION: 
Grand Prairie, TX
PAY RATE: $55/hour

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Develop NC programs for machining using engineering drawings and models

  • Determine appropriate machining strategies, tooling, parameters, and workholding

  • Provide floor support and troubleshoot machining issues

  • Identify and implement process improvements

  • Estimate time requirements for new part setups

  • Research and test new machining technologies, tools, and equipment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree + 5 years machining/NC programming experience

  • OR Associate’s degree + 7 years experience

  • OR 9 years machining/NC programming experience

  • Experience with CAM software for NC programming

  • Strong problem-solving and process improvement background

  • In-depth knowledge of machining practices and cutting tools

  • Proficient in reading engineering drawings and applying GD&T

Desired Skills:

  • Experience programming 3–5 axis mills and mill-turn machines

  • Siemens NX and Vericut experience preferred

  • Fixture/workholding design experience

  • Familiarity with Mazak machines

  • Ability to evaluate and improve part designs for machinability

  • Experience leading new tool and process implementations

  • Safety shoes required

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
