JOB TITLE: Military Vehicle Mechanic - DEFENSE

PAY RATE: $29.62/hour

Summary: 

• Perform a variety of duties in electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas

• Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems

• Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions

• Operate related equipment and conduct tests, reporting data in prescribed format

• Perform calibration and alignment checks; make modifications, adjustments, and replacements as directed

• Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions

• Excludes technicians working in production or quality assurance

Requirements:

• This IS A CLEARANCE JOB (ability to obtain secret clearance)

• High School Diploma or GED

• Familiarity with both gasoline and diesel engines

• Vehicle troubleshooting skills

• Experience as a diesel mechanic working on bulldozers or large diesel engines preferred

• Experience working on gasoline and/or diesel engines preferred

• This position requires safety shoes

• After several months on assignment, may require operating a forklift

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
