JOB TITLE: Mechanical Systems Design Engineer - Interiors
LOCATION: Tustin, CA
PAY RATE: $85/hour

Summary: 

• Work on spacecrafts from early concept to full production.

• Develop engineering definitions for mechanical system components and assemblies, optimizing for operation, maintenance, and commercial service.

• Support suppliers, review manufacturing procedures, and define test requirements for components.

• Develop 3D models and engineering definitions for mechanical system components, assemblies, and installations.

• Establish design tolerances and support the review and release of engineering definitions.

• Ensure compliance with design specifications and company processes.

Requirements:

• MUST BE US PERSONS

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of design engineering experience (or Associate’s with 5+ years in mechanical design).

• Interior systems experience is a must.

• Proficiency in CATIA V5/6 (CATIA 3DX and model-based definitions preferred).

• Strong knowledge of GD&T and PLM tools.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, fuel systems, flight controls, or similar.

• Experience with prototype, experimental, or innovative products.

• Hands-on experience with assembly and installation.
