JOB TITLE: Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer 2

PAY RATE: Up to $48/hour

Summary: 

• Supports the development, documentation, and design of mechanical, fluid, and thermal systems for flight simulators.

• Performs detailed design, spatial integration, and modification of mechanical systems, landing gear, ordinance systems, and component installations.

• Assists with technical documentation, proposals, and new business development.

• Works under general supervision.

• Participate in design and development of mechanical systems and structures for flight simulators

• Support machinists with fabrication and assembly

• Interface with suppliers and buyers to facilitate purchase of mechanical fabrication services

Requirements:

• Secret Clearance required

• Proficient with Siemens NX CAD system

• Experience designing flight simulators, aircraft cockpit structures, and parts for 3D printing, CNC machining, and waterjet cutting

• Experience designing packaging for electrical systems

• Knowledge of general fabrication, precision machining, and complex assembly techniques

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills:

• 2+ years’ experience designing flight simulation or trainer equipment

• 2+ years’ experience using NX CAD

• Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
