JOB TITLE: Mechanical Engineer
LOCATION: Andover, MA
PAY RATE: $82.21/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Clearance: Interim Secret Clearance preferred prior to start.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Support the design, development, and manufacturing of microwave electronic subsystems and assemblies.

  • Perform electronics packaging design, testing, and verification of microwave electronic components and sub-systems.

  • Create and maintain engineering documentation for Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA), Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), and cabling designs.

  • Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electronic assemblies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support product development and manufacturing efforts.

  • Participate in design reviews, engineering changes, and documentation control processes.

Requirements:

 

  • Candidates selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

  • Interim Secret Clearance preferred prior to start.

  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance, or currently possess an active clearance.

  • Associate degree (AA) with 10+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with electronic packaging for military or aerospace applications.

  • Experience designing and documenting:

    • Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA)

    • Printed Circuit Boards (PCB)

    • Cabling systems

  • Proficiency with CREO and Windchill.

  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).

  • Familiarity with change board processes and documentation control.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen to comply with security clearance requirements.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Experience with electronics packaging for microwave electronics.

  • Experience using CREO, Windchill, and Zuken.

  • Hands-on experience building and testing electronic assemblies.

  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes used in electronics.

  • Additional experience with GD&T practices.
