Job Description

JOB TITLE: Mechanical Assembler - 2nd Shift
LOCATION: Clearwater, FL
PAY RATE: Up to $22/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Overtime: Available on weekends

  • Note: Candidates must be able to work 2nd shift permanently. No option to move to 1st shift.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Perform both repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical components such as circuit boards, modules, panels, drawers, and frames.

  • Candidates will work from schematic diagrams, engineering drawings, and layout instructions, using hand and power tools to complete assembly and testing tasks.

  • Assemble, rework, and test mechanical and electronic subassemblies

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

  • Perform continuity checks and quality inspections per specifications

  • Follow procedures for disassembly, modification, and reassembly of prototype and production units

  • Maintain consistent productivity during extended periods of repetitive tasks and seated work

Requirements:

  • Must be mechanically inclined

  • Proficient with hand tools

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, prints, and diagrams

  • Must be able to read and write in English

  • Able to perform repetitive tasks and sit for extended periods

  • A&P certification or current A&P student (preferred over other experience)

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
