JOB TITLE: Materials Engineer

PAY RATE: $65.00 – 70.00/hour

Qualifying Questions:

• Are you a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance?

Summary: 

• Creates new thin film coating designs for customer applications.

• Develops technical solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity and creativity.

• Collaborates with Program Management to create project plans, budgets, and schedules.

• Provides program and project work instructions to early career engineers and production technicians.

• Orders, analyzes, and interprets in-process metrology data to determine process adjustments.

• Compares metrology data to customer specifications to evaluate fitness for use.

• Reviews customer requirements documents to support technical customer proposal content.

• Applies experience with sputtered thin films design, processes, and equipment.

• Uses thin film design tools including TFCalc, OptiLayer, FilmStar, and FilmWizard.

• Applies statistical methods and design of experiments for process development.

Requirements:

• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Experienced in thin film coating designs and materials.

• Experience with sputtered thin films design, processes, and equipment.

• Roll-to-roll deposition or converting experience.

• Familiarity with thin film design and expertise in one or more thin film design tools including TFCalc, OptiLayer, FilmStar, or FilmWizard.

• Experience with statistical methods and design of experiments.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

• Programming experience with Visual Basic Macro Scripting or similar analysis software.

• Experience with Optical Spectrometer, SEM, and XRF measurements and interpreting results.

• Ability to create and present technical content for customer meetings.
