JOB TITLE: Materials Engineer
LOCATION: Santa Rosa, CA
PAY RATE: $35.00 – 38.00/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance?

Summary: 

  • Designs, prototypes, and produces thin film products with senior engineering support.

  • Provides engineering support to production team for thin film coating operations.

  • Monitors and interprets in‑process and post‑production metrology data.

  • Applies knowledge of material sciences, chemical engineering, or physics to thin film coating processes.

  • Works with customers, vendors, and colleagues to support product development.

  • Uses Microsoft Office suite for documentation and communication.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Degree in Material Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline.

  • Intermediate‑to‑advanced written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and colleagues at all levels.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

  • Ability to monitor and interpret in‑process and post‑production metrology.

  • Ability to provide engineering support to production team.

  • Ability to work with senior engineering support on design and prototyping.

  • Entry‑level experience in thin film coating or related field.

  • Basic understanding of thin film coating processes and metrology techniques.
