Job Description

JOB TITLE: Material Handler
LOCATION: Orlando, FL
PAY RATE: $17/hour

Job Details:

  • Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site.

  • Tasks may include shipping, receiving, and assisting machine operators.

  • Load/unload materials by hand or with equipment (e.g., forklift, dolly, hoist)

  • Move materials to/from pallets, trays, conveyors, machines, or trucks

  • Open containers, count and weigh contents, and record data

  • Stack or organize materials as needed

  • Support operators by lifting/moving heavy parts

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED 

  • 1+ year of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or shipping/receiving environment

  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack, dolly, hoist)

  • Basic math skills for counting, weighing, and recording inventory

  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods

  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, labels, and safety procedures

  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

  • Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
