JOB TITLE: Material Coordinator

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
Review production schedules and determine material requirements or shortages.
Requisition materials and establish delivery priorities based on job order requirements.
Coordinate in-plant transfer of materials to meet production timelines.
Work with department supervisors to facilitate repair and assembly operations.
Verify the accuracy and type of materials delivered to production areas.
Use manual or computerized systems to locate materials in-process.
Monitor material flow on conveyor systems and compute material needs based on manufacturing processes.
Compile reports on material quantities and types.
Transport materials between departments using hand or industrial trucks.
Maintain employee records and perpetual production records.
Requirements:
2–3 years of stockroom/crib procedures experience.
Experience using warehouse equipment.
Experience working in a computer-based inventory or warehouse management system.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Must be able to rotate between shifts as needed.
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, supporting operations with part transportation, inventory validation, and computer system tasks.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to ascend/descend vertical ladders and work in confined spaces.
Lift up to 35 lbs; 2-person lifts required for items over 50 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, reaching overhead, and working on flat or uneven surfaces.
Occasional climbing on 3–12 ft ladders or stands.
Frequent exposure to noise; use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required (safety shoes, eye/ear/hand/arm protection).
Ability to pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
Rotation of head/neck, sitting, crawling, squatting, bending/stooping, and operating foot controls may be required.
Occasional contact with metals and hazardous materials.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
