Job Description

The Structures Company is seeking a Master Scheduler to work on-site in Columbia, MO 

General Summary:

Position is responsible for developing the master production schedule that drives requirements to produce complex products. Plays a critical role in deploying an ERP/MRP system, working with the vendor and co-workers to ensure successful implementation of the system. Analyze the balance between supply and demand of exiting and future needs and evaluate enterprise data to determine optional schedules for multiple projects that have to be executed. Oversees the process for schedule changes and ensures root causes of volatility are resolved. Defines, develops and implements best practices for scheduling production to optimize usage of company resources to complete multiple projects in a timely manner.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist deployment of the ERP/MRP system implementation.
  • Ensure the schedule for each project accurately represents contractual scope, flow, and resources required to execute the program.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, engineering, quality, operations, and lap department to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to serve customer projects.
  • Perform Time-phased predictive analysis, critical path verification, and schedule risk assessments.
  • Resolve schedule conflicts and develop work-around strategies and tactical alternatives.
  • Perform schedule health metric analysis to identify risks, look for opportunities to improve plans, and to resolve schedule integrity issues.
  • Conduct Schedule Risk Analysis and produce reports.
  • Interact with project leads to fully understand customer delivery expectations and work with stakeholders to analyze and incorporate approved schedule changes.
  • Assist in the development of baseline resource assignments within detailed work-breakdown-structure, earned value methods assignment, and the verification of contract budget baseline.
  • Coordinate with the management team and provide technical insight from a schedule perspective on earned value variance analysis to assist in baseline variance reporting.
  • Create and analyze ad hoc program reports and plans.
  • Material procurement as required; place purchase orders, manufacturing work orders, and work with vendors to manage delivery schedules.
  • Meet with operations team regularly to review project deadlines and activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements

Minimum Required Qualifications (Education/Certification):

  • U.S. Citizen or permanent U.S. Resident is a must. (process ITAR compliant data)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical field
  • 2 years experience in master scheduling or 5 years scheduling experience.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of cost and schedule project management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Demonstrate proficiency in planning tools such as Primavera, Open Plan, or Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity with schedules in an MRP/ERP environment (SAP, Oracle, EPICOR, ERPnext, etc.)
  • Knowledge of integrating subcontractor with an IMS
  • Experience with resource loaded schedules.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Special Working Conditions/Job Characteristics:

  • Experience and knowledge in the following areas
  • IMS development within DoD environment
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • Critical Path Methodology (CPM)
  • Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)
  • Manufacturing operations (CNC milling, turning, TIG and Laser Welding)
  • Programming in Python, Matlab, or other language.
