JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Operations – Technical Publications
LOCATION: San Antonio, TX
PAY RATE: $32.85/hour
Shift: DAY – 5 AM TO 2:30 PM - Rotating shifts, 1st shift training, then rotating shifts, 1, 2nd or 3rd shift and rotating weekends

Summary:
Support daily operational activities across multiple functions by identifying and resolving emergent production constraints.
Conduct assessments of processes and practices to ensure alignment with applicable standards. Assist in implementing operational strategies and plans.
Work under general supervision with a focus on proactive issue resolution and cross-functional collaboration.
Proactively identify and resolve production constraints on a daily basis.
Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive resolution efforts.
Conduct in-depth research on parts, engineering details, and other data to track and resolve production issues.
Investigate upcoming schedules to anticipate potential constraints and attend line-by-line review meetings to report status.
Attend and/or lead Tier meetings to communicate operational updates and progress.
Use Ship Side Action Tracker (SAT) system to document and manage constraint tracking.
Support the development and implementation of new site processes and procedures.
Create and present project proposals to both senior leadership and shop-floor personnel.
Assist mechanics with understanding specifications and drawings.
Support the shop in procuring or modifying tools as required.
Mentor and coach less experienced mechanics and team members to build technical knowledge and process familiarity.
Assist with closing out quality corrective actions (IQDS), including root cause investigations and solution development.
Foster a culture of open communication and emotional intelligence through a “speak, seek, and listen” approach with a customer service mindset.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and typically 3 or more years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 1 or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in critical problem solving and procedure development.
Minimum 2 years of experience reading technical data and accessing aircraft information systems.
Minimum 2 years of experience in aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, or modification.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Desired Skills:
Experience with systems such as GOLD, I-GOLD, Vipers, NCM, and SAT or similar applications.
Prior leadership or project management experience.
Previous experience in a Line Side Control Center or similar environment.
Experience in depot-level or modification maintenance.
