JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer L4 - Electrical/Electronics

PAY RATE: $80.50/hour

Summary: 

• Support the B-52 Commercial Engine Replacement Program (CERP).

• Collaborate with the team to create, revise, and review build and installation plans for the B-52J Commercial Reengine Program.

• Apply knowledge of manufacturing methods and fabrication processes (forming, stamping, machining, heat treatment, machine tools, cutting tools, instrumentation, data acquisition, and control systems).

• Develop work instructions for installing components, systems, and assemblies.

• Create and maintain production and manufacturing process documents and training materials.

• Ensure all documentation is accurate, current, and compliant with industry standards.

• Perform routine data analysis to identify discrepancies and improvements.

• Follow procedures, publication standards, and government/customer specifications.

• Maintain data in web-based tools.

• Work closely with project teams and subject matter experts to determine documentation needs.

• Provide guidance and mentoring during project execution.

• Work independently with minimal supervision, maintaining a positive attitude and strong ethics.

• Proactively seek information and direction to meet project requirements and deadlines.

• Analyze engineering drawings and modifications to assess their impact on the product.

• Collaborate with multi-functional teams and work flexible hours to coordinate globally.

• Maintain compliance with AS9100D quality management system requirements.

• Resolve technical issues impacting performance, cost, or schedule.

• Build and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and partners to support project goals.

• Utilize strong analytical skills to drive problem solving and innovation with speed and agility.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry (ABET accreditation preferred) 

• 9+ years related experience, or equivalent combinations such as a PhD with 4+ years experience, or a Master’s with 7+ years experience.

• Minimum 1 year experience with aircraft wiring, structures, or systems installation and planning.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years in aircraft modifications.

• Experience with producibility reviews and installation work instructions.

• Skilled in troubleshooting complex issues with unclear root causes.

• Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.

• GOLDesp, CATIAV5, IVT, PowerPoint, Manufacturing Readiness Assessments, Program Manufacturing Plan, EBOM/MBOM reconciliation, MANTIS, ADO, CMPR
