JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer
LOCATION: Palmdale, CA
PAY RATE: $20-60/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 4/10 Alternate (4/10-A)

Summary: 

  • Analyze engineering drawings, models, and specifications to develop manufacturing plans and work instructions

  • Plan operations and sequencing for machine parts, composites, assemblies, airframe structures, systems, and maintenance activities

  • Apply manufacturing theory, tooling methods, and fabrication processes to planning documentation

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effective processes

  • Serve as liaison between Engineering, Planning, Tool Design, Tool Shops, and Production

  • Investigate issues and implement corrective actions to maintain production conformance

Requirements:

  • Active Secret preferred; ability to obtain required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of planning experience or equivalent experience in manufacturing/engineering documentation

  • Bill of Materials (BOM) – 4–6 years

  • Manufacturing Process & Planning – 4–6 years

  • Manufacturing Experience – 4–6 years

  • Experience creating work instructions for aircraft parts, assemblies, systems, or maintenance

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation

  • Strong technical writing skills

  • Knowledge of fabrication, tooling, manufacturing, and inspection methods

  • Experience using tools such as SAP, MS Office, CAPP/SFM, Solumina/iBASEt, Teamcenter, or 3DX

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance (investigation within last 5 years or CE enrollment)

  • Knowledge of EBOM, MBOM, and OBOM structures

  • Experience resolving BOM-related cross-functional issues

  • Familiarity with CAD/CAE tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor)

  • Familiarity with PLM tools (Teamcenter, Windchill, SAP PLM)

  • Engineering or manufacturing degree (or equivalent industry experience)

  • Experience with PLM, ERP, and product data management systems

  • Strong communication skills across engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams
