JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer
LOCATION: Orlando, FL
PAY RATE: $53.65/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Schedule: 2nd Shift (1:00 PM – 11:00 PM)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Develop and update work instructions and shop-floor documentation

  • Design tooling and fixture concepts/drawings

  • Provide hands-on shop-floor support to resolve technical issues

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformances

  • Support MRB processes and non-conforming material investigations

  • Monitor quality, cost, and schedule performance

  • Identify and drive process improvements (Lean/6S)

  • Manufacturing and chemical processing environment

  • Exposure to production equipment and hazardous chemicals

  • PPE required (safety glasses, respirators, steel-toed shoes, etc.)

  • Train team members as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in production environments

  • 3+ years experience with painting, priming, plating, and coating processes

  • Experience with root cause/corrective action (RCCA)

  • Experience writing work and rework instructions

  • Experience with MRB and non-conforming material processes

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T

  • Experience with military specifications for materials and coatings

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Experience working cross-functionally with shop floor and engineering teams

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with CARC paint, plating, passivation, heat treatment, and coating processes

  • Knowledge of coating validation methods (adhesion testing, thickness checks, etc.)

  • Experience with automation or capital improvements in coating/painting processes

  • Familiarity with ISO9000, AS9100, and military standards

  • Experience with CAD tools (Creo, NX) and 3D printing for tooling

  • Experience handling hazardous chemicals and chemical process control (pH, titration)

  • Experience with production equipment monitoring and chemical systems (DI water, tanks, etc.)

  • Military/aerospace manufacturing experience
