JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer 3 (Assembly & Installation)
LOCATION: San Antonio, TX
PAY RATE: $62/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

  • Develop and implement manufacturing plans for assembly and installation

  • Integrate engineering design changes with minimal disruption while maximizing benefits

  • Execute Build Integration milestones and ensure affected commodities advance through the review process

  • Lead collaboration and integration across affected commodities and stakeholders

  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes

  • Create installation planning and support shipside installation in San Antonio

  • Conduct producibility and variation analyses to validate manufacturing process capability

  • Analyze design/build concepts to ensure producible definitions

  • Resolve technical problems with significant impact to performance, cost, or schedule

  • Document producibility best practices and provide input for project plans

  • Implement lean principles and process improvement initiatives

  • Maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, peers, and stakeholders

  • Support team performance by participating in process/tool improvement projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (ABET-accredited)

  • 5+ years of experience with assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures), and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams, functional tests, supplier data)

  • Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings

  • Familiarity with aerospace parts/products

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CATIA

  • Ability to obtain customer approval for access (dual or prior citizenship may affect eligibility)

  • Ability to pass a third-party background check covering finances, residences, employment history, drug use, prior military service, and criminal background

  • Non-managerial, non-leadership position

  • May require travel to shipside installation or sustainment sites

  • Works in a collaborative environment across multiple stakeholders

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with GoldEsp

  • Experience with IVT

  • Experience in out-of-production aircraft sustainment
