LOCATION: Tukwila, WA
PAY RATE: $74.25/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Authors non‑destructive test (NDT) procedures for commercial and defense aircraft.

  • Incorporates revisions authored by method Responsible Level III in the standard procedure review process.

  • Develops Computer Assisted Drawings (CAD) of specialized calibration standards.

  • Performs setup for non‑destructive test or measurement equipment to calibration standards.

  • Composes procedure figures providing information on inspection location, geometry, accessibility, probe/transducer placement, and notch signal response.

  • Reports potential adverse trends or anomalous results.

  • Supports commercial and defense aircraft including 737, 747, 767, 777, 787, KC‑46, and B‑1B.

  • Works with ultrasonic testing (UT) and eddy current testing (ET) methods.

  • Supports advanced NDT methods including Phased Array UT, Shear‑wave UT, and Eddy Current Array.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5+ years of education and work experience in NDT.

  • Current certification from American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT)/NAS410 Compliant Level 3 in ET or UT.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.

  • Can provide documentation of certified NDT hours.

  • Ability to work variable shifts, overtime, and weekends as necessary.

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

  • Ability to work in confined spaces.

  • Preferred: 10+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination.

  • Preferred: Level 3 certification in ET, UT, or RT with additional method certification; experience with Phased Array UT, Shear‑wave UT, immersion UT, Eddy Current Array, LFEC, film, CR, DR, and CT methods; and CAD software proficiency.
