JOB TITLE: MP&P Engineer Level 3
LOCATION: Mesa, AZ
PAY RATE: $71.00/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Reviews and interprets ultrasonic inspection results.

  • Designs reference standards for inspections.

  • Develops NDT inspection plans and sequencing.

  • Reviews or approves internal and supplier inspection techniques.

  • Develops and qualifies NDT inspections.

  • Qualifies NDT inspection equipment.

  • Develops and maintains proficiency in NDE methods including Ultrasonics, Radiography, Eddy Current, Magnetic Particle, and Liquid Penetrant.

  • Defines requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in engineering design, manufacture or maintenance.

  • Drafts engineering specifications and documents to manage deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes.

  • Supports root cause and corrective action of NDT related MRB and assesses NDT evaluation technologies for new and existing programs.

Requirements:

  • Ability to Obtain Secret Security Clearance.

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

  • 3+ years of experience working in Nondestructive Evaluation.

  • Preferred: 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Preferred: ASNT Level 2 or 3 certifications in UT, RT, MT, PT or ET.

  • Preferred: Functional knowledge of instruments, systems, and software for ultrasonic inspection of composites using manual or automated pulse echo, through transmission, pitch-catch, and phased array techniques.

  • Preferred: Functional knowledge of instruments, systems, and software for magnetic particle, penetrant and eddy current inspection.

  • Preferred: Functional knowledge of instruments, systems, and software for radiographical inspection.

  • Preferred: Knowledge of reference standard development and fabrication.

  • Preferred: Experience with robotics, 3D modeling, 3D printing, Computed Tomography (CT), or Ultrasonic Phased Array.
