JOB TITLE: MP&P Engineer 2
LOCATION: Tukwila, WA
PAY RATE: $56.25/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Develops NDE procedures in support of airline customer maintenance inspections.

  • Designs NDE reference standards in support of inspection procedures.

  • Develops engineering specifications and other documents to meet customer needs.

  • Assists in evaluation of emerging technologies for potential application to business needs.

  • Assists with development and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements.

  • Performs routine tests and audits to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements.

  • Assists in implementing corrective and preventive actions.

  • Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements.

  • Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into materials and processes, research, design and qualification, work procedures, and labs and office areas.

  • Supports commercial and defense aircraft programs including 737, 747, 767, 777, 787, KC-46, and B1B.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Bachelor, Master, or Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.

  • 1+ years of engineering experience.

  • Preferred: Experience with CAD systems such as CATIA and Solidworks.

  • Preferred: Experience with NDI systems including ultrasonics, eddy current, and radiography.

  • Preferred: Experience in aviation and aerospace.

  • Preferred: Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.

  • Preferred: Excellent skills with various computing systems.

  • Preferred: Excellent documentation and technical writing skills.

  • Preferred: Knowledge of materials science with metals and composites.
