JOB TITLE: MP&P Engineer 2 
LOCATION: Berkeley, MO
PAY RATE: $57.50/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Shift: 1st

  • Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret (not required to start)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Assist in defining requirements for tools, materials, parts, and processes

  • Draft engineering specifications and technical documentation

  • Support development and qualification of new tools, components, and processes

  • Perform testing, audits, and supplier qualification activities

  • Analyze performance and investigate failures of components and processes

  • Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions

  • Utilize project management tools to meet cost, schedule, and technical goals

  • Incorporate EHS, Lean, and Quality principles into all activities

  • Evaluate electrical, electronic, and electromechanical components for design and repair

  • Support subcontractors and suppliers to ensure component compliance

  • Work in high-reliability/harsh environments (aerospace, automotive, medical, industrial)

  • Support cable/harness fabrication, installation, and evaluation

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain Secret (not required to start)

  • Familiarity with basic electronic components (resistors, capacitors, diodes, inductors, transformers, connectors, ICs)

  • Understanding of requirements and requirements documentation

  • Knowledge of part qualification and evaluation concepts

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to work in team environments

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with component design, evaluation, or qualification (SAE, Mil-specs, ASTM, IEEE)

  • Knowledge of Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS)

  • Experience with wiring harnesses, connectors, cables, or electrical interconnects

  • Background in aerospace, automotive, medical, industrial, or military environments

  • Experience with fiber optics or harsh environment systems

  • Experience writing/reviewing requirements or SSOWs

  • Experience with component-level design and part selection (including substitutions)

  • Testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems/components

  • Manufacturing or fabrication experience
