JOB TITLE: Licensed Fleet Maintenance Manager / Controller
LOCATION: Oakland, CA
SALARY: $100,000-140,000/year

Summary: 

  • Manage day-to-day scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of fleet assets using MRO/maintenance tracking software to ensure operational schedules are maintained

  • Coordinate daily maintenance tasking with crew leads, including task identification, assignment, and tracking progress to completion against a master schedule

  • Define, review, and update work package scope and task relationships

  • Review and audit completed work packages for accuracy and completeness

  • Provide technical briefings and maintenance status updates to flight crews and operations management as required

  • Coordinate with Maintenance Planning, Asset Management, Leadership, and Flight Operations to align maintenance activities with flight schedule requirements

  • Coordinate with Planning to schedule and accomplish aircraft modifications

  • Maintain accurate maintenance tracking to prevent overflying deferrals and scheduled maintenance requirements

  • Provide precise, timely reports and maintenance status information across multiple fleet platforms

  • Create, revise, review, and execute Maintenance Programs within MRO software

  • Develop, track, and report departmental KPIs and performance metrics

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the employer

  • Preference for onsite candidates

  • Remote considered for candidates with extensive Part 135/145 experience

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an aviation/aerospace maintenance control and/or maintenance planning role

  • Minimum 3 years of line maintenance experience

  • Minimum 3 years of planning or control experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Working knowledge of Part 135 and/or Part 145 operations

  • Experience using maintenance tracking or MRO software

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

  • Highly organized with the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced and high-stress operational environments

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills:

  • FAA A&P Certification highly desired

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field preferred

  • Experience with MRO software strongly preferred
