JOB TITLE: Inventory Material Coordinator
LOCATION: San Antonio, TX
PAY RATE: $27.22/hour

Summary: 

  • Responsible for maintaining the program’s tool crib area and coordinating with suppliers and customers to ensure all tooling and materials are managed in accordance with site processes and procedures.

  • Maintain control of tooling and materials following established site procedures.

  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies across departments according to production and shipping schedules.

  • Review production schedules and work with department supervisors to determine material requirements or shortages.

  • Requisition and schedule materials according to job order priorities and material availability.

  • Arrange for in-plant transfer and transportation of materials.

  • Verify that materials delivered meet specifications and production requirements.

  • Monitor material and part movement via conveyor systems and compute material requirements for job orders.

  • Compile reports on material types and quantities, and maintain perpetual production records.

  • Safely transport materials using hand trucks or industrial equipment.

  • Perform regular inventory checks and report any deterioration or damage.

  • Remove, issue, and prepare materials for shipment as required.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, tool control, FOD (Foreign Object Debris), contract, and housekeeping protocols.

  • Perform in-depth analysis of material requirements and resolve related issues.

  • Assist with procurement of parts, tools, materials, and equipment.

  • Support continuous improvement of material management processes.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience with warehouse inventory, including parts accuracy and accountability.

  • 2–3 years of experience in stockroom/tool crib procedures.

  • 3+ years of experience using computer-based or warehouse management systems.

  • 1+ years of experience managing government property (acquisition, inventory, records, disposition, etc.).

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.

  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment.

  • Willingness to support rotating shifts.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ascend and descend vertical ladders and work on elevated platforms.

  • Lift up to 35 pounds (occasional 2-person lifts for weights >50 lbs).

  • Work in confined spaces and noisy environments.

  • Frequent reaching, walking, standing, and climbing (3–12 ft ladders).

  • Occasional crawling, squatting, stooping, and use of foot controls.

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Must pass visual acuity and color perception tests.

  • Ability to handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely.
