Job Description

JOB TITLE: Interior Installation Technician II 
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $25.65/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Safely remove, install, and fabricate aircraft interiors (galleys, closets, lavatories, bulkheads, doors, and panels).

  • Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with Repair Station procedures, FAA regulations, and quality standards.

  • Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track issues, and sign off work.

  • Operate tools and equipment, including hand tools, band saws, sanders, and shears, following standard procedures.

  • Maintain shop equipment and tools.

  • Install aircraft interior components per company procedures and quality standards.

  • Remove and reinstall nut plates, inserts, and fasteners.

  • Ensure proper use of hardware and fittings.

  • Follow safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; use personal protective equipment as required.

  • Identify and address unsafe conditions.

  • Assist technicians with aircraft maintenance as needed.

  • Adapt to schedule changes.

  • Work with senior technicians to implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma.

  • Create and use simple patterns following standardized procedures.

  • Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 2 years of installation, fabrication, or related experience.

  • Aerospace industry experience preferred.

  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

  • Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

  • Skilled in using hand and power tools for interior installation.

  • Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift.

  • Computer literacy required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
