JOB TITLE: Inspector – Fabrication/Assembly 3 
LOCATION: Wichita, KS
PAY RATE: $43/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Perform inspection and quality assurance functions in support of fabrication and assembly operations. Ensure hardware and processes meet engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory requirements.

  • Candidates must be capable of obtaining inspection certification and successfully completing required written and practical testing.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of related experience preferred

  • Candidates with 2+ years of strong, relevant experience will be considered

  • Experience in one or more of the following: Systems/Payload Structures, Assembly, Fuselage, Underwing, Composites, Metals, or Process Mechanic (A3)

  • Ability to certify for Systems Inspection functions

  • Experience supporting Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action (non-disciplinary)

  • Ability to create investigation/test statements and perform process and hardware audits

  • Capable of performing all Level B inspection functions

  • Ability to assist with on-the-job training as needed

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR)

  • Candidates must successfully complete written and/or practical testing in the following areas:

    • Assembly Sealing & Post-Assembly Sealing

    • Electrical Bond & Ground (All Meters) and Final Bond Inspection

    • Precision Measuring Tools

    • Skin Quality Inspection

    • Fastener Inspections (Solid Rivet, Blind Fastener, Hex-Drive Bolt, Lockbolt, Bolt & Nut, Composite Fasteners)

    • NCR creation and documentation in MES

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in Composite Fabrication and Composite Structures, particularly in 787 production environments
