JOB TITLE: Industrial Engineer 1
LOCATION: Orangeburg, SC
PAY RATE: $42.00/hour

Summary: 

  • Applies basic Industrial Engineering concepts, techniques, analysis, and decision tools to promote and implement changes in manufacturing, engineering, and service operations.

  • Develops models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze data including statistics, operations research, and engineering economics.

  • Provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to customers including management, departments, and suppliers.

  • Applies basic industrial engineering techniques to product and process design teams throughout all phases of product lifecycle.

  • Researches, designs, develops, improves, and implements processes to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality.

  • Applies Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.

  • Utilizes engineering methods including mathematical models, simulation, and statistics to develop optimal process designs and efficient resource utilization.

  • Analyzes and supports design of the value stream including capability, capacity, throughput, workflow, and logistics.

  • Performs work observations and time studies to document time standards and processes.

  • Validates current hours per order and job performance, and creates new time standards for scheduling software.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering.

  • Exposure or experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, or production environment.

  • Experience performing work observations and time studies.

  • Preferred: 1 or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing and knowledge of lean principles.

  • Preferred: Experience developing and deploying standard processes.

  • Preferred: Skilled in effective time management and organizational skills.

  • Experience analyzing value added versus non-value added processes.

  • Experience recommending process improvements based on data analysis.

  • Experience elevating safety and quality hazards and risks for root-cause investigation.
