JOB TITLE: General Aircraft and Bench Test Mechanic - DEFENSE 
LOCATION: Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA
PAY RATE: $47.78/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type:  (3-year contract)

  • Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Person required).

  • Schedule: Full-Time

    • Training: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

    • Once trained: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (2nd Shift)

  • Overtime: Possible, voluntary

  • Travel: Limited (San Antonio for training)

  • Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Assemble, disassemble, modify, and upgrade aerospace vehicle systems and components.

  • Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate and repair faults.

  • Configure aircraft and bench test equipment; perform validation and verification testing.

  • Inspect components and verify repairs to ensure flight-worthiness compliance.

  • Document repairs, tests, modifications, and inspections per regulatory and contractual requirements.

  • Provide oversight and training as needed.

Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Person required).

  • High School diploma/GED with 4+ years of related aerospace or mechanical experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Comfortable working at heights (ladders, on aircraft, harness use) and handling equipment.
