Job Description

JOB TITLE: Flight Readiness inspection - LICENSED
LOCATION: North Charleston, SC
PAY RATE: Up to $44/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Perform final inspections and verify component installations on commercial aircraft.

  • Support of system operational testing, troubleshooting, and validation processes.

  • Work in a flight line environment and are expected to ensure safety and quality standards are met throughout preflight and post-flight activities.

  • Perform verification and inspection of final component installations and aircraft system functionality

  • Inspect and verify troubleshooting results for pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and avionics systems

  • Conduct inspections during pre-flight and post-flight checks, and of maintenance/modification work prior to delivery

  • Document issues identified during operation and testing of aircraft

  • Assist with system and sub-system inspections and maintenance tasks in preparation for aircraft delivery

  • Plan and arrange tasks independently with guidance from a lead technician

  • Identify and document non-conformances with minimal supervision

  • Maintain all required certifications necessary to perform assigned duties

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED 

  • Must be able to work any shift, including days, nights, and weekends

  • 3+ years of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience

  • 3+ years of quality inspection and/or auditing experience

  • 3+ years of experience in flight line operations

  • 3+ years of experience working in team environments

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • FAA Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) License or signed FAA Form 8610-2

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR)

     

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with the 787 program

  • Familiarity with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention practices

  • Formal or informal team leadership experience

  • Proficiency in systems such as REDARS and PSDS

  • Experience with creating and managing various forms of Non-Conformance Records (NCRs) and Emergent Process Documents (EPDs)
