Job Description

JOB TITLE: Aircraft Final Line Mechanic I
LOCATION: Savannah, GA
PAY RATE: $25.65/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Install aircraft parts, systems, lines, and components in accordance with specifications and blueprints, ensuring quality and conformance in a team-oriented environment.

  • Assemble, install, and adjust aircraft structures and systems including control surfaces, cables, landing gear, engines, doors, etc.

  • Rig and align linkages and components per specifications.

  • Install systems lines, valves, ducts, and related hardware—ensuring leak-free systems.

  • Perform minor structural work and repairs, including cutting, fitting, and component replacement.

  • Use tools such as permaswage pumps, line cutters, dies, and torque wrenches to complete installations.

  • Ensure quality and compliance through self-checks and required documentation.

  • Maintain accurate logs, inspection sheets, and records.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment; support FOD and 5S programs.

  • Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

  • Support aircraft certification and testing, including flight testing if required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  •  

    High School Diploma or GED required

  • 1 year of aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience (e.g., automotive, heavy equipment, etc.)

  • A&P license may offset the experience requirement

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and installation techniques

  • Solumina and SmarTeam experience preferred

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
