JOB TITLE: Final Line Mechanic I - Aerospace

Summary:
Ensure work meets specifications through final inspection.
Assemble, install, and adjust aircraft structure parts and system components.
Rig control cables, linkages, control surfaces, landing gear, engines, and associated parts.
Perform basic repairs, including removing/replacing linkages and cutting/fitting system lines.
Ensure the quality and efficiency of installations; perform necessary rework for conformity.
Install system lines, valves, ducts, and ensure leak-free systems.
Use tools and equipment (e.g., permaswage pumps, dies, wrenches) to complete installations.
Check work to ensure defect-free installation before final inspection.
Maintain logs and records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs) as required.
Keep a neat and orderly work area, supporting FOD and 5S programs and adhering to safety regulations.
Demonstrate Manufacturing competencies in employee reviews.
Support continuous improvement processes.
May include flight tests on aircraft for certification and final phase testing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED required.
1 year of aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience (e.g., auto mechanics, heavy equipment).
An A&P license may offset the required experience.
Solumina and Smarteam experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Capable of performing basic drilling, reaming, and fitting parts.
Must be able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
