JOB TITLE: Facilities Engineer
LOCATION: Grand Prairie, TX
PAY RATE: $68.51/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Plans, designs and oversees reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities.

  • Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.

  • Coordinates with architecture and engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.

  • Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.

  • Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.

  • Inspects or directs inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.

  • Reads and executes engineering drawings and specifications with strong understanding of CAD systems.

  • Delivers comprehensive engineering packages for industrial and manufacturing facilities.

  • Applies electrical engineering knowledge to facilities design and construction projects.

  • Coordinates with cross-functional teams for facilities reconfiguration and construction projects.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Ability to read and execute engineering drawings and specifications with strong understanding of CAD systems.

  • Industrial or manufacturing facilities design experience.

  • Experience delivering comprehensive engineering packages.

  • Experience coordinating with architecture and engineering firms on design criteria and layout drawings.

  • Experience preparing bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.

  • Experience reviewing and estimating design costs for equipment, installation, labor, and materials.

  • Experience inspecting construction and installation progress for conformance to specifications.

  • Safety shoes are required for this position.
