JOB TITLE: Facilities Engineer
LOCATION: Grand Prairie, TX
PAY RATE: $83.70/hour

Summary: 

  • Designs and integrates HVAC systems and Building Management System (BMS) controls for facility projects.

  • Delivers comprehensive engineering packages from initial cooling and heating load calculations through programming sequences of operation to final system validation.

  • Performs system commissioning to ensure final performance meets design specifications.

  • Plans, designs, and oversees reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities.

  • Gathers and reviews data on facility or equipment specifications, government restrictions, required completion dates, and construction feasibility.

  • Coordinates with architecture and engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.

  • Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.

  • Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and related costs.

  • Inspects or directs inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to drawings, specifications, and schedules.

  • Applies HVAC design principles and BMS controls engineering for building systems.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • 5+ years of experience in a Mechanical Engineer role focused on HVAC design.

  • 5+ years of experience with Building Management System (BMS) controls.

  • Experience delivering comprehensive engineering packages from cooling and heating load calculations to programming sequences of operation and validating final system performance.

  • Experience coordinating with architecture and engineering firms on design criteria and layout drawings.

  • Experience preparing bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.

  • Experience reviewing and estimating design costs including equipment, installation, labor, and materials.

  • Experience inspecting construction and installation progress for conformance to specifications.

  • Experience in system commissioning and performance validation.
