JOB TITLE: F-18 Avionics Technician - DEFENSE
LOCATION: 
NAS Lemoore, CA
PAY RATE: $29-34/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Summary: 

  • Plan, conduct, and document tests on avionics systems and subsystems.

  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve test anomalies and failures.

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of test plans, procedures, and processes.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and maintain readiness of test systems.

  • Train and guide entry-level personnel in routine test processes and equipment operation.

  • Identify and recommend new test equipment, tools, and methods.

  • Apply advanced technical experience and judgment to meet specific test objectives.

  • Develop new test methods and propose innovative improvements to existing processes.

  • Mentor intermediate-level technicians and assist with complex troubleshooting.

Requirements:

  • Secret clearance required to start

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Typically 1+ year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Ability to perform complex fault isolation on avionics systems

  • Aerospace-quality soldering skills

  • Proficiency with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools

  • Strong understanding of electronics and avionics theory

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR)

Desired Skills:

  • Depot-level F-18 avionics repair experience

  • Experience with avionics system and subsystem testing

  • Test anomaly investigation and root-cause analysis

  • Test plan development and procedure optimization

  • Preventive maintenance of test systems

  • Operation and readiness management of test equipment

  • Ability to evaluate and recommend new test equipment and methods

  • Advanced interpretation of technical requirements for testing

  • Development and improvement of test methods, procedures, and processes
