JOB TITLE: F-16 Avionics Technician Level 3 – DEFENSE
LOCATION: Greenville, SC
PAY RATE: $34-38/hour
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.
Job Details:

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
-
Security Clearance: Active Secret preferred; ATO required. Clearance process must begin upon offer acceptance.

1st Shift: Mon–Thurs, 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM
-
2nd Shift: Mon–Thurs, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:
-
Perform flightline operations including installation of electrical harnesses and components
-
Route and terminate wires and cables according to specifications
-
Conduct operational checks, system testing, and troubleshooting of avionics and electrical systems
-
Implement engineering changes (MOD/redlines) and wire repairs as needed
-
Support launch and recovery operations
-
Occasionally perform general mechanical installs, testing, and inspections
-
Ensure compliance with technical documentation and flight safety standards
Requirements:
-
Active Secret preferred; ATO required. Clearance process must begin upon offer acceptance.

1–2 years of flightline maintenance experience
-
Ability to read and interpret wire harness prints
-
Avionics and electrical system experience preferred
-
Must be able to work assigned 1st or 2nd shifts after training
-
Ability to follow technical procedures and safety protocols
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
-
6+ years of experience in avionics testing
-
6+ years of experience with F-16 aircraft
-
Fighter aircraft experience (F-16, F-18, F-22, F-35)
-
Experience with wire harness repair and MOD implementation
-
Experience performing troubleshooting and operational checks on avionics/electrical systems
