JOB TITLE: Engineering Leader: Repeat Production & Sustainment
LOCATION: Mattaponi, VA
PAY RATE: $120K – 200K/year

Summary: 

  • Serves as the engineering owner for released products in production and sustainment phases.

  • Provides technical support for manufacturing operations to resolve product design, documentation, and configuration issues.

  • Partners with Manufacturing leadership to evaluate and implement product and process improvements.

  • Supports production readiness, technical issue resolution, and successful product delivery.

  • Leads engineering support for fielded and legacy products including investigations related to field performance, reliability concerns, and customer-reported issues.

  • Drives root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for product-related technical issues.

  • Develops strategies to address component obsolescence, supplier changes, and lifecycle management challenges.

  • Leads engineering change activities and configuration control processes for production and sustainment products.

  • Supports Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives in collaboration with Manufacturing and Operations teams.

  • Evaluates and implements product enhancements based on customer feedback, production experience, and business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related field) from an accredited institution.

  • Proven experience in production engineering, sustainment engineering, or product support leadership roles.

  • Experience providing technical support for manufacturing operations and resolving product design and documentation issues.

  • Experience managing engineering investigations for field performance, reliability, and customer-reported issues.

  • Experience driving root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for product-related technical issues.

  • Experience developing obsolescence management strategies and lifecycle management solutions.

  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and configuration control processes.

  • Experience leading engineering change activities and supporting production readiness.

  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar quality management systems.
