JOB TITLE: Engineering Analyst 1
LOCATION: El Segundo, CA
PAY RATE: $28-38/hour + OT

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Summary: 

• Support FAA certification efforts for next-gen aircraft systems.

• Work within AS9100D standards to review and organize supplier technical documentation, contributing directly to part traceability and the development of a Qualified Parts List (QPL).

• Review technical data sheets for electrical and electromechanical components

• Extract and standardize attributes like performance specs, environmental ratings, and compliance

• Maintain databases or tools for part-level conformity documentation

• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain to resolve data gaps or discrepancies

• Support documentation for Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), FAA conformity, and STC submittals

• Ensure consistency between component specs, system intent, and QPL documentation

• Uphold version control and document management practices per AS9100D and FAA standards

• Perform additional tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field

• 1–3 years of experience (including internships) in engineering or technical documentation

• Ability to interpret technical specs and data sheets

• Proficiency in Excel or similar data tools; strong attention to detail

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with FAA STC processes and AS9100D

• Experience with supplier data, component qualification, or conformance documentation

• Exposure to PLM/document control tools (e.g., Arena, Windchill)

• Understanding of configuration management and QPL development
