JOB TITLE: Engineering Aide – Electrical Fabrication (DEFENSE)
LOCATION: Grand Prairie, TX
PAY RATE: $29.90/hour

Job Details:

  • Contract Length: 12 months (with potential extension)

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Responsible for designing and fabricating equipment used in the development and production of tactical hardware.

  • Fabricate electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies from engineering drawings in a fast-paced environment.

  • Updating job status, quality inspections, and implementing engineering changes using various computer-based systems.

  • Fabricate and solder components on circuit cards and electro-mechanical subassemblies

  • Build and install wiring harnesses, including connector pinning/de-pinning and mounting hardware

  • Assemble lower-level components into full cabinet systems (single and multi-bay) for delivery to Engineering and Manufacturing

  • Collaborate with engineers, drafters, procurement, and quality personnel to resolve fabrication challenges

  • Maintain accurate build and quality documentation using software tools and Microsoft products

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in cable/harness fabrication, SMT board assembly, or military-grade maintenance

  • Associate’s Degree in Electronics or related field

  • Solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/7721

  • Experience sourcing and procuring test materials

  • Familiarity with test equipment and engineering documentation standards

  • Prior certification in soldering and harness assembly to MIL-STD requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering documentation

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting design or process issues

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer-based manufacturing tools

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
