JOB TITLE: RF Engineer

Chelmsford, MA
PAY RATE: $97.12/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Full-Time: 4/10A – 2nd Shift (with first-shift training)

  • Training (First Shift): Mon–Thu, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 6 weeks

  • Ongoing Shift (Second/Weekend Shift): Thu–Sun, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM

  • Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Work on complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions

  • Act independently to uncover and resolve issues in operational products

  • Collaborate with hardware, systems, and circuit design engineers as well as technical and manufacturing support personnel

  • Support production troubleshooting, integration, and verification of RF modules

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, and test data

  • Lead failure investigations on production or technical issues

  • Engage in customer interactions, including technical presentations

  • Applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Requirements:

  • Secret Clearance required to start

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred, or STEM degree with 5+ years relevant experience

  • Experience with troubleshooting designs and resolving integration issues in production/manufacturing

  • Hands-on experience with hardware

  • Experience using RF/microwave test equipment and simulation tools

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Engineering expertise (1–2 years)

  • Ability to read engineering drawings (1–2 years)

  • Ability to work in a production environment (1–2 years)

  • Electrical testing experience (1–2 years)

  • Failure analysis experience (1–2 years)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Desired Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field

  • Experience in defense electronics

  • Expertise in RF subsystems & hardware, including:

    • Antennas, transmitters, receivers

    • Microwave components, low/high power amplifiers

    • Mixers, switches, frequency generation & conversion circuits

  • Experience with microelectronics assembly techniques

  • Skilled in technical documentation (schematics, specs, test data)

  • Prior RF design experience

  • Ability to lead failure investigations

  • Strong team collaboration, especially with manufacturing engineers and production operators
