Summary:
Responsible for the mechanical design of electronic units, including chassis, interconnects, and component support. Tasks include:
Creating conceptual and detailed designs that meet environmental and mechanical requirements
Defining CCA/PWB outlines and mechanical interfaces
Evaluating and implementing mechanical/thermal support solutions
Producing detailed parts and assemblies using Model-Based Engineering
Conducting peer reviews and presenting at PDR/CDR customer reviews
Supporting manufacturing by addressing nonconformances and defining repair/rework actions
Requirements:
Electro-Mechanical Design: 4–6 years
CAD (Computer-Aided Design): 4–6 years
Mechanical Design: 4–6 years
Materials Knowledge: 1–2 years
3D Modeling: 2–4 years
Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T): 2–4 years
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
