Job Description

JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer 
LOCATION: Orlando, FL
PAY RATE: $25.00 - $42.00/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.

  • Drive adoption of automation, robotics, and computer aided manufacturing software for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.

  • Create and analyze 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions.

  • Define operations procedures and build sequences using understanding of materials and automatic processes.

  • Evaluate equipment and tool performance using IoT devices, investigate and initiate corrective action for deficiencies.

  • Develop statistical process control approaches and integrate reporting and data analytics for continuous improvement.

  • Analyze and interpret electrical, electromechanical, and cable schematics during development and production stages.

  • Update and create assembly work instructions and publish to production floor.

  • Identify and maintain tool lists required for efficient assembly of products.

  • Provide input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements for best equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college in related discipline with 2+ years related work experience, or 1+ year with MS.

  • Ability to analyze electrical schematics and diagrams.

  • Experience in cable manufacturing and/or electromechanical assembly.

  • Ability to write assembly work instructions.

  • Microsoft Office suite experience (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher).

  • Experience with SAP (Qnotes, Routings, Bills of material) or related manufacturing system.

  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts and experience generating process improvements.

  • Familiarity with Zuken.
