JOB TITLE: Designer 
LOCATION: 
Telework <50% in Orlando, FL
PAY RATE: $46.68//hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Schedule: 4/10A – 1st Shift

  • Clearance: Active Secret Clearance is required to start.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Design major components, functional systems, advanced prototypes, or specific products.

  • Develop or improve products and support manufacturing operations.

  • Create preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes to present design proposals.

  • Evaluate design factors such as manufacturability, material availability, interchangeability, strength-to-weight efficiency, specifications, and cost.

  • Coordinate with affected organizations during design development.

  • Prepare layouts of assemblies and detailed parts of devices, mechanisms, structures, and products.

  • Review layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, adherence to standards, and accuracy of calculations and dimensions.

  • Identify design errors or omissions and recommend improvements to responsible engineers or designers.

Requirements:

  • Active Secret Clearance is required to start.

  • Structures: 4–6 years

  • CATIA (3D Design Software) & 3Dx (Data Manager): 2–4 years

  • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T): 2–4 years

  • Part Tolerancing: 2–4 years

  • Design Experience: 2–4 years in primary/secondary structures, component layout, tolerance studies, ASME Y14.5 GTOL, and trade studies

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
