JOB TITLE: Embedded Software Engineer 
LOCATION: Orlando, FL
PAY RATE: $78.80/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

  • Clearance: Active Secret Clearance is required to start

  • Shift: 4/10A – 1st Shift (Mon–Thu, 4 days / 10 hours per day)

Summary: 

Seeking an Embedded Software Engineer with 6+ years of experience to support missile seeker software development. This role involves full lifecycle work—requirements analysis, design, code implementation, integration, and formal qualification testing—using C/C++ on VxWorks/Linux platforms.

Requirements:

  • Active Secret Clearance (required to start)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 6+ years of C/C++ embedded software development on VxWorks/Linux across the full software lifecycle

  • 6+ years of experience with multi-core processor development & integration (LS1046A & Zynq SoC)

  • Working knowledge of Ada

  • Experience with Cameo modeling tools

  • Software subcontract management experience

  • CMake/build system knowledge

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

  • 6+ years of algorithm development (e.g., target detection, tracking)
  • 4+ years of experience with Bus/Protocols: MUX, Serial, I2C, 1553

  • 3+ years of Agile Scrum experience including CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

  • 3+ years of experience with Doxygen, GitLab, Bitbucket, and ParaSoft tools

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
